Counsel joins SCCRC

A member of Faculty is one of three new appointments to the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission (SCCRC).

Laura Reilly will hold the part-time post for four years, with a time commitment of four days per month, the Cabinet Secretary for Justice, Humza Yousaf, announced.

Ms Reilly, a graduate of Glasgow University, called to the Bar in 2006, after 16 years in private practice. Her principal areas of work, both as an Advocate and as a solicitor,  have been criminal and family law.

Others appointed as members of the SCCRC are Alex Quinn, a consultant forensic psychiatrist, and Carol Gammie, a solicitor.
