Biography
Dominic called to the Bar in 2025 as a Lord Hope Scholar. As a trainee, Dominic worked for pursuers in Historical Abuse and Group Litigation in Court of Session and Supreme Court actions. He instructed and liaised with Counsel regularly. Dominic was a part of the team in the cases of Hugh H Campbell QC v Celtic PLC; Hugh H Campbell QC v James Finlay (Kenya) Limited [2023] CSIH 39; and Hastings v Finsbury Orthopaedics Ltd [2022] UKSC 19.
From September 2023, Dominic worked in a criminal defence firm in the Scottish Borders. Dominic appeared in Sheriff Courts all over Scotland and was involved in several High Court trials. Dominic qualified as a solicitor in May 2024.
During Devilling, Dominic continued his interest in Criminal law and Reparation whilst developing an interest in Family and Public Inquiries throughout the Devilling courses and his involvement with the Hospitals Inquiry.
