Biography

Nicola called to the Bar in June 2025 having been a solicitor in private practice for 11 years and in Local Government for a further 13 years. Nicola was an accredited Law Society of Scotland child law specialist from 2017 to 2021. She gained civil Rights of Audience in 2021.

She has experience of advising with a variety of local government issues including housing, debt recovery, commercial disputes, social work (child/adult/older people), licensing, education and employment. In private practice she practised in property, commercial and family litigation.  Nicola is a tutor for the Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh, Civil Court Practice course.
