Biography
Molly called to the Bar in 2026 as a Lord Reid scholar. Her areas of practice are primarily in family and child law. Before calling to the Bar, Molly was in private practice in the family law teams of two leading Edinburgh firms.
Molly has experience of advising on financial provision on divorce and claims arising from the breakdown of cohabitation. In practice, she was interested in such cases in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session. Molly has a particular interest in financial provision on divorce where economic disadvantage arguments are live.
In addition, Molly has experience across all areas of child law litigation, including child abduction, relocation and where abuse is alleged. Molly also has a background in acting for clients involved in the children’s hearing system.
During devilling, Molly gained experience in judicial review where children’s rights were engaged. She has developed a particular interest in cases involving challenges to UNCRC compatibility.
