Biography

Laurence has over 25 years' experience of conducting litigation in the civil courts. He is also an experienced tribunal judge, accredited arbitrator and fitness to practise chair.

He was listed in Legal 500, for five years, for his conduct of property litigation particularly boundary and servitude disputes. He has wide experience of dealing with farming partnership disputes and also offers his own partnership dispute arbitration service.

Laurence also has a background in media and defamation law, having acted as shift lawyer for The Scotsman and other newspapers. He holds appointment with IMPRESS to act as decision maker for the resolution of media law and defamation arbitrations.

His wider practice includes contract and commercial disputes, partnership disputes, executry disputes and professional negligence claims.
