Lauren called to the Bar in 2026 after four years in practice as a solicitor at a leading Scottish firm. Her particular interest is in public law and human rights law.
As a solicitor she specialised in immigration law. Her regular caseload included appeals to both the immigration tribunals and the Court of Session, as well as judicial review.
During devilling Lauren has further developed her experience in broad public law matters. She has also gained exposure to a range of work including professional liability matters involving construction and medical professionals, and employment law.
Before qualifying as a solicitor, Lauren obtained a LLM in Human Rights Law. She also held a position at HM Inspectorate of Prisons for Scotland where she assisted in creating a human rights based approach to prison inspection and monitoring.
