Biography

Ken works mainly in the areas of public and human rights law and employment and discrimination law.

He practises in Scotland and England (where he was called to the Bar in 2000).  He appears in the Court of Session, sheriff courts, and tribunals including the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the Upper Tribunal. Ken’s judicial review cases often have a European Law and Human Rights Law dimension. He has been instructed in a wide range of matters including immigration, education and public procurement law. Ken is also instructed in cases concerning discrimination in the provision of services under the Equality 2010 and was appointed to the Equality and Human Rights Commission panel of counsel.
Ken represents employers, employees and trades unions in all areas of employment and discrimination law and is ranked in Chambers as a leading junior in this area.  He is currently instructed in several multiple holiday pay claims.
