Biography

Jennifer’s principal areas of practice prior to calling were criminal and corporate law, working across the private and public sector. Her areas of interest include regulatory crime, public and fatal accident inquiries and reparation.

She has extensive experience of prosecuting a wide range of criminal prosecutions at summary and sheriff and jury level including fraud and cybercrime, cases falling under the Road Traffic Act 1988, Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 and Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006. She has also been responsible for the preparation and conduct of prosecutions under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

During devilling she gained extensive exposure to personal injury and clinical negligence work, and to fatal accident inquiries. She has routinely dealt with cases which engage the ECHR, including protest cases, and the UNCRC.

She has an in-depth knowledge of criminal and corporate law and has a particular interest in white-collar crime. She has extensive courtroom experience and is adept at handling child and vulnerable witnesses.
