Biography

Jamie is a specialist in public law and human rights. He also has an established commercial practice, regularly assisting clients with complex high-value disputes.

Jamie called to the bar as Lord Reid Scholar. He regularly appears in judicial review proceedings before the Court of Session. He has assisted with judicial review proceedings related to environmental disputes, human rights challenges, and administrative law disputes. He has also advised a number of public authorities in respect of complex equality law disputes. He is also a PhD Candidate in constitutional law at the University of Glasgow.

Jamie also maintains a broad commercial practice. He is experienced in dealing with contractual, procurement, and intellectual property disputes. He has assisted with high-value litigation in various sectors, including the wholesale and whisky sectors. Jamie is also a tutor on the commercial litigation course at the University of Edinburgh.

Jamie also accepts instructions in relation to trusts and succession. He has dealt with a variety of complex contentious executry disputes.
