Biography

Ian Forrester has conducted competition cases in North America, Asia, Africa, and Europe.

He has represented public authorities, trade associations, the European Commission, private citizens and a wide range of companies including GSK, Microsoft, Canon, Toyota, Servier, Pfizer and others.

He has served as an arbitrator under the rules of the ICC, ICSID and the CAT. He was appointed judge in the General Court of the European Union in 2015, a mandate which was ended by Brexit.

He has returned to practice as KC and as arbitrator, specialising in sport, public law, fundamental rights and competition.
