Biography
Prior to calling to the bar, Graham was a solicitor for nine years latterly working as a senior procurator fiscal depute.
Graham has significant jury trial experience. Alongside typical criminal trials, he has conducted jury trials of a lengthy and complex nature including charges of fraud, VAT evasion and proceeds of crime; misuse of drugs; the direction and involvement in serious organised crime; and breaches of health and safety legislation resulting in a workplace death.
Graham began his legal career in 2014 at Maclay Murray & Spens where he trained in commercial dispute resolution, employment and tax. He qualified as a tax solicitor and that background accounts for his specific interest in corporate financial crime, proceeds of crime and regulatory work.
Whilst devilling, Graham gained exposure to the areas of child and family law; inquiry work; and children’s referral proceedings. He called to the bar as a Lord Hope scholar.
