Biography

Declan comes to the Bar having specialised in crime as a Solicitor, regularly appearing in courts across the country in the process.

He has been appearing in the most serious of cases since he was a Trainee Solicitor and built a reputation as a highly sought after criminal defence practitioner.

He prides himself in being very much known as a ‘trial lawyer’ and has successfully defended clients involved in allegations of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, serious assaults, highly complicated prosecutions under the proceeds of crime act, sexual offences, organised crime, firearms offences and many others.

He has appeared for clients in complicated Licensing Hearings and as a Devil appeared in the Upper Tier Employment Appeal Tribunal.

He called to the bar as a Lord Hope Scholar.
