Biography

Craig has a busy personal injury practice. He is primarily instructed in high value RTA claims, involving complex issues including automatism, brain injury and functional disorders. He has substantial experience of stress at work claims and the application of neuropsychology in a forensic setting.

Craig completed a 3-year appointment as an Advocate Depute in July 2024. He prosecuted charges of murder, serious organised crime and serious sexual offences. He specialised in health and safety prosecutions, in particular those with a maritime element.

Craig has appeared as sole counsel in a civil jury trial in the Court of Session and as junior counsel in the Supreme Court.

Craig is regularly instructed in clinical negligence actions and commercial disputes. He is registered as a lawyer in the Dubai International Financial Centre courts.

Craig also practices at 12 KBW, a specialist personal injury chambers in London. He has appeared in trials in the High Court, County Court and at inquests.

T v. W [2022] CSOH 44: Stress at work claim by a teacher in respect of competency and disciplinary procedures. Successful defence after a 5-week proof.

Hastings v. Finsbury Orthopaedics Ltd 2021 SLT 187: Product liability for metal-on-metal hips. Appearance as junior counsel at proof and on appeal.

Bridges v. Alpha Insurance 2016 SLT 859 (Hon. Lord Tyre and a jury): A civil jury trial in the Court of Session. Acting for the insurer in a pedestrian collision.
