Biography
Caitlin called to the Bar in 2025 as a Faculty Scholar and Lord Hope Scholar.
Caitlin specialises in commercial litigation and public law. She has broad expertise in commercial litigation, including contractual, company law, professional liability, financial services and construction disputes and insolvency matters. She has particular expertise in public procurement disputes and experience in public and administrative law matters generally, including the conduct of judicial review and professional disciplinary proceedings. Caitlin also has experience in dealing with contentious trusts and executries.
Caitlin has an interest in defamation and communications law (having tutored in International Media Law (Masters) at Edinburgh University) and in intellectual property and environmental law. She gained substantive experience in those areas during devilling.
Before calling, Caitlin spent six years as a litigator at leading international law firms, including a period at a leading firm in Jersey. She has conducted litigation in courts at all levels across Scotland.
