Biography

Sandy called to the Bar in 2025. Prior to calling, he completed his traineeship and then practiced at a leading criminal defence firm in Glasgow. 

He has represented clients in Sheriff Courts across Scotland and instructed Counsel in the High Court of Justiciary. He has experience in cases involving misuse of drugs and crimes of violence, and has particular experience in the preparation and conduct of trials involving sexual offences. 

During devilling Sandy gained experience in public law including housing law, property law and judicial review.
