The Faculty has become a member of an international group which is devoted to upholding the highest standards of advocacy.

The Hong Kong-based International Advocacy Training Council (IATC) has added the Faculty to its list of affiliated bars and law associations.

Angela Grahame, QC, Vice-Dean of Faculty, said the aims of the IATC included promoting, internationally, high standards of advocacy and best practice in advocacy training.

“The Faculty has for over 20 years been at the forefront of both, and has often been consulted for advice and guidance in running advocacy training courses. Some of our ideas have been adopted in other countries, from England to Africa and the Far East,” she added.

“I am delighted that the Faculty has now taken its proper place at the table of international advocacy training. It will have a lot to contribute.”
