Biography
Poppy specialises in commercial litigation and public law. She called to the Bar in 2026 as the Lord Reid Scholar.
Before joining the Bar, Poppy served as Judicial Assistant to the Right Honourable Lord Hodge during his tenure as Deputy President of the UK Supreme Court. In that role, she assisted with landmark commercial, public law and human rights cases.
Poppy practised as a commercial litigation associate at Pinsent Masons LLP, where she acted in high-value and complex disputes, with particular expertise in product liability and group litigation. As a solicitor, Poppy appeared in the Sheriff Court and was regularly involved in litigation in the Court of Session. During devilling, Poppy further developed her expertise in public and commercial law, whilst cultivating a particular interest in criminal appeals.
Poppy is admitted as an attorney in New York and previously qualified as a solicitor in Scotland, and in England and Wales.
