Biography

Catherine MacColl practices in a number of areas of civil law, including property, contract and insolvency.

She has advised landlords and tenants, landowners and purchasers, neighbours and local authorities in relation to a wide range of disputes involving property, leases and conveyancing. She has considerable experience in cases arising from sequestration, advising both trustees and other interested parties. She has also dealt with a variety of problems arising from the enforcement of heritable securities.  She has acted for both pursuers and defenders in a number of reparation cases. Catherine has also appeared before the Land Tribunal, the Employment Tribunal and before the disciplinary tribunal of a professional body. She is a CEDR accredited mediator and has degrees in philosophy as well as law.
