Bye-bye, Banny…welcome, Optimum
A FAMILIAR face – and the name to go with it – has been posted missing at the High Court in Glasgow.
After 31 years with the Faculty, Banny Mackinnon has retired, and the stable he led for 28 of those years, Mackinnon Advocates, has gone, too.
In a seamless transition, Banny’s former deputy, Angela Bath, has stepped up to become clerk to the newly-titled, Optimum Advocates.
Gordon Jackson, QC, Dean of Faculty, said: “Banny gave wonderful service to the Faculty and he was a huge part of our presence in Glasgow. It’s strange being about Saltmarket and not seeing Banny, but everyone wishes him well in a long and happy retirement.”
