Lawyer of the Week - two in a row for Faculty

16 Feb

For the second week in a row, a senior member of Faculty has been named as the Scottish Lawyer of the Week in the Law section of The Times.

Simon Di Rollo, QC, was chosen in recognition of his work in a Court of Session case in which a woman accused two professional footballers of raping her and successfully sued them for damages.

Last week, the accolade had gone to Jonathan Mitchell, QC, who acted for three English local authorities in the Court of Session where the court, under the nobile officium, enforced orders by the English High Court to place four children in secure accommodation in Scotland.
