Put on your walking shoes, and support access to justice
THE LEGAL community in Scotland is being asked to note the date 9 October, and to support access to justice.
That evening, the Edinburgh Legal Walk and the Glasgow Legal Walk will take place, as part of the fundraising efforts of the Access to Justice Foundation.
The foundation was established in 2008 with the aim of improving access to justice for the most vulnerable in society. It raises funds to distribute to organisations which provide free legal advice.
Annual legal walks have become an important part of the foundation’s activities, and last year around £7,500 was raised through the Scottish walks. A target of £10,000 has been set this year.
