Faculty to be represented at European Circuit conference

15 Sep

Two of the Faculty’s EU law experts are heading to Dublin for the annual conference of the European Circuit.

Kenneth Campbell, QC, is a speaker at the event on 29-30 September, when the focus of attention will be on “Cross-border justice in the EU and the impact of Brexit”.

Joining him will be Peter Sellar, Chair of the Faculty’s Advocates Group on European Union Law (AGEUL).

Mr Sellar said: “The conference is open to all and I would encourage fellow advocates to attend. It is a very much a cross-bar and cross-border event, and no doubt will feature Brexit high on its agenda.”

Mr Campbell is a member of AGEUL and gave a presentation at a special AGEUL event in advance of the EU referendum, exploring the legal issues of a “leave” and a “stay” vote.

The European Circuit was founded in 2001 and “aims to provide a forum for its members to address issues of concern and problems common to cross-border practice by using the collective experience of hundreds of lawyers across Europe.”
