Vice-Dean writes on cross examination in sexual criminal trials

The Vice-Dean of Faculty, Gordon Jackson, QC, has responded to comments made by the Lord Justice General, Lord Carloway, about the conduct of criminal trials involving allegations of a sexual nature.

In an Agenda article for the Herald, Mr Jackson discusses the Faculty’s commitment to the high quality, skilled and effective advocacy which is needed to maintain the rule of law by ensuring every accused receives a fair trial.
