Going funky at the Mackenzie!

16 Aug

The Faculty’s Mackenzie Building will be swinging this weekend as it hosts an upbeat soul and gospel concert by Edinburgh’s Phoenix Choir.

The concert, on Saturday from 7:30pm to 9pm, is in aid of the Child Brain Injury Trust, which supports children and young people who have sustained acquired brain injuries.

Gordon Jackson, QC, Dean of Faculty, said: “It is a pleasure to host this event for such a worthy cause. We hope it will be a really enjoyable and successful evening.”

Claire Murray, of the Trust, said: “As a small charity, we are extremely grateful to the Faculty for their support with this fundraising concert. They’ve offered us a fantastic chance to stage an upbeat, fun and funky event in this lovely venue in the heart of the Old Town, which we might otherwise not be able to do. We’re very excited and hope we see a full house, raising lots of money for our work in Scotland!”
