Biography
Called to the Bar in 1999, after 14 years as a solicitor, Sarah is one of the most experienced Senior Juniors at the Criminal Bar.
In 2008 she was appointed an ad hoc advocate depute. In her career, she has appeared for both prosecution and defence in all areas of criminal work.
She has been instructed in cases involving homicide, drugs, fraud, terrorism, attempted murder, armed robbery, firearms, assault, indecent images, health and safety at work and road traffic offences. She has vast experience in rape and other sexual offences and appears regularly in the High Court.
Sarah has also acted in a number of complex Children’s Referrals, involving international medical experts. She has appeared in Fatal Accident Inquiries and undertaken tribunal work.
Since 2010 she has been a tutor in Advanced Criminal Litigation at the University of Glasgow.
