Biography

Ross was called to the Bar as a Lord Hope Scholar.  Ross specialises in commercial disputes including contractual, construction and professional negligence disputes. His other areas of practice are company law and public law.

 Prior to calling to the Bar, Ross practiced as a Solicitor Advocate with Brodies LLP in the commercial litigation team. Ross is experienced in conducting proofs and debates, both as sole counsel, and alongside senior counsel. Ross has appeared in the Outer and Inner House of the Court of Session and Sheriff Appeal Court. Ross is experienced in professional negligence claims against solicitors, insurance brokers, architects and other construction professionals. Ross also has broad experience in company law disputes.

 Ross also has a keen interest in public law, having gained valuable experience during devilling of judicial review and appeals from the Upper Tribunal. Ross is currently a tutor at the University of Edinburgh in Public Law.
