Roddy specialises in succession cases.
Roddy’s practice encompasses a wide range of succession and trust matters, including disputes as to: executry administration; will interpretation; challenging testamentary writings; claims for cohabitants; legal rights; trusts and judicial factory administration; and much more. Roddy is a member of STEP and he regularly writes and presents on aspects of ‘contentious succession’. He is (slowly) authoring a book on the subject of contentious executries.
Roddy also practices more widely, particularly in property and regulatory litigation. Prior to calling to the Bar, Roddy was a solicitor for fifteen years. Since August 2018 Roddy has been a Standing Junior Counsel to the Advocate General.
