Biography

Robert trained with one of Scotland’s leading litigation firms gaining experience in a wide range of personal injury cases including road traffic accidents, employers’ liability, public liability and industrial disease.

He also has experience of professional liability, fatal accident inquiries, and criminal law particularly offences arising from road traffic accidents.

While devilling, he built upon his experience in these areas as well as gaining exposure to clinical negligence, foreign travel claims, and claims arising from accidents abroad. Robert also won the Mike Jones Excellence in Advocacy prize.

He has appeared regularly in the Sheriff Court, having conducted several proofs, debates, and has appeared in the Sheriff Appeal Court.

He completed his LLB and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh and has acted as a tutor for the School Mock Court Project since 2017. He is also an Ad Hoc Reporter to the Professional Conduct Sub Committee of the Law Society of Scotland.
