Lisa specialises in clinical negligence and personal injury claims. She is instructed for both pursuers and defenders in cases involving all aspects of personal injury law including product liability, insurance law, employers’ liability, Occupiers’ liability, road traffic accidents and industrial disease. She specialises in complex brain injury, spinal injury and cerebral palsy claims. She has acted in fatal accident inquiries and Criminal Injury Compensation Claims.

Lisa is ranked in the Chambers and Partners UK Bar for both clinical negligence and personal injury. She is also ranked in the Legal 500 where she is recommended for her work in clinical negligence and in particular cerebral palsy claims. “Her standard of work is excellent.” “A go-to counsel for cerebral palsy. Her grasp of even the smallest detail is incredible.

Lisa was the author of the personal injury elective for Edinburgh University’s Diploma in Legal Practice between 2011 and 2017. She was lead tutor on that elective until August 2017 She remains a tutor. She was an honorary senior lecturer at Glasgow University School of Medicine from 2013 and a visiting lecturer at Pavia University in Italy in 2014 and 2015. She has also taught on the Diploma in Legal Practice at the Aberdeen University School of Law.
