Biography

Jacqueline called to the Bar in 2016, as the Lord Reid Scholar 2015-16.  She is a former Deputy Director of Training and Education at the Faculty of Advocates, a Legal Member of the SCCRC, and Registrar of the Upper Tribunal (Administrative Appeals Chamber) in Scotland. 

She has a particular interest in public law, having previously lectured in constitutional and administrative law and undertaken in-depth studies in international human rights law.  She is a former Standing Junior Counsel to the Advocate General for Scotland, and a member of the EHRC’s panel of preferred counsel in Scotland.

Jacqueline has distinct quasi-judicial experience in the domestic and international courts, as a former Law Clerk to the Lord Justice Clerk and Visiting Professional in the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court. 

She is a contributing editor of Stair Memorial Encyclopaedia, a reporter for Session Cases, and a board member of Howard League Scotland.
