Biography
Elisabeth practices mainly in commercial law and appears regularly in the commercial courts.
She acts in contractual and property law matters as well as advising on partnership disputes and claims relating to negligence by solicitors and accountants. She has a particular interest in insolvency and company law matters and is regularly instructed in relation to bankruptcy and insolvency cases.
Prior to becoming an advocate, Elisabeth spent 5 years as a litigation solicitor with one of Scotland's large commercial law firms. During that time she specialised in finance and insolvency litigation and attained the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency from the Insolvency Practitioners Association.
Since 2011, Elisabeth has taught seminars on Accounts, Audit and Distributions and Disqualification of Company Directors on the Company Honours course at the University of Edinburgh.
Elisabeth was awarded the Faculty of Advocates’ Lord Reid Scholarship for 2012/2013.
