Biography
Deirdre called to the Bar as a recipient of the Scottish Council for Law Reporting and the Lord Hope Scholarships.
She spent 7 years as a solicitor and has significant advocacy experience in sheriff courts across Scotland, the employment tribunals and in professional disciplinary hearings.
Deirdre’s work on human rights and discrimination law has been published in academic journals and textbooks including the International Journal of Human Rights. She has drafted parallel reports to United Nations’ treaty committees and was a regular contributor to Oxford Publication’s reporting platform for international criminal case law.
