Biography
David Hay undertakes a civil practice with a particular interest and emphasis in employment and equality law.
He has experience both in representing the interests of claimants and of employers and is routinely instructed to present cases at the Employment Tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal. He also has experience in arguing appeals in the Inner House of the Court of Session without a senior. His expertise in the field of employment law has been recognised in the Legal 500, Chambers UK and Who's Who Legal UK Bar Guides. David is a founding committee member of the Faculty of Advocates Employment Law Group and regularly speaks at their events, and other events, on topics of employment law. He has been a member of the Panel of Preferred Counsel for the Equality and Human Rights Commission in Scotland since 2010.
