Biography

David has been instructed in various fields including property law, company law, personal injury, animal welfare law, commercial law, family law and judicial review.  

David has a particular interest in matters of property law concerning public bodies and has been published in the journal of the Law Society of Scotland on this subject.

David called to the bar in 2014 after practising as a solicitor with a local authority.  Since calling to the bar David has conducted cases at all levels of the Scottish Courts, including in the Inner House.  As counsel David has represented public bodies, large and small businesses, and private individuals.  Prior to his career as a lawyer David had a diverse employment history in Scotland and Canada, including working for the Scottish Government, a construction firm, and a property developer.
