Biography

Educated at Glasgow University, Strathclyde University and Balliol College, Oxford, Chris spent 20 years as a court solicitor in Glasgow (latterly also as a solicitor advocate) where he gained extensive experience over an exceptionally wide range of civil litigation work and also found time to deal with some high profile criminal work.

On calling to the Bar in 2003 with this background he established a very broadly based practice from the outset. With his long experience of working at the coal face Chris understands the problems and pressures facing solicitors. He knows that they and their clients are looking for practical solutions to practical problems delivered quickly. He endeavours to provide exactly that service. Whether the case involves a court appearance, a consultation with a 'difficult' client, drafting or reviewing written pleadings, or providing a written opinion, Chris can remove the problem from the solicitor’s crowded desk.
