Biography

Andrew is a specialist in personal injury law and has a wide range of experience in most aspects of PI work including fatal accidents, RTA, workplace accidents and workplace exposure to harmful substances such as asbestos.

In Smith he appeared for a joiner who fell from a ladder at work. In Gallagher he represented the relatives in a case which set a new benchmark for Section 4(3)(b) awards in terms of the Damages (Scotland) Act 2011 for family members in mesothelioma cases.  In Young and Dicketts he represented the families of two servicemen in the first two jury trials arising out of the fatal crash of an RAF Nimrod in Afghanistan.  He also has experience in professional negligence actions against solicitors, doctors and surveyors, an example being found in Bennett which involved a failure to refer the patient to the appropriate consultant.
