Biography
Alasdair is regularly instructed in professional liability cases on behalf of solicitors, architects, engineers and surveyors, and in construction cases on behalf of employers, contractors and sub-contractors. Alasdair is also regularly instructed in energy, banking and property cases.
Alasdair called to the bar in 2009 and has a broad commercial practice.
Alasdair practiced as a solicitor for several years before calling to the bar. During that time he gained City experience in London and qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales. He also worked in-house in the oil industry for an offshore construction contractor in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Chambers UK rank Alasdair in Professional Negligence, Construction and Commercial Dispute Resolution, and describe him as being “very thorough, and very good at turning work around quickly, and his considered strategy is combined with a commercial approach”.
Alasdair has represented clients at all levels of the court system and in arbitrations, adjudications and mediations.
