Biography

Andrew qualified as a solicitor in 2013, having trained in criminal defence.

He has extensive experience of criminal court advocacy, including jury trials and proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002. He has an interest in extradition law, having worked for one of Scotland’s most prolific firms in the field.

He has significant experience of professional regulatory law, having worked in the Fitness to Practise Department of the Scottish Social Services Council for three years. He is an ad-hoc Reporter for the Law Society of Scotland.

Andrew also has an interest in family law; he has represented both adult and child clients before Children’s Hearings and in Sheriff Court proofs.

Andrew was awarded a Faculty Scholarship in 2019. While deviling, he has had considerable involvement in the fields of personal injury, immigration, defamation and Fatal Accident Inquiries.
