I am instructed in partnership disputes: in procurement cases; in contract cases; in building contract disputes; in family cases; in personal injury cases; in passing off cases; in conveyancing cases including disputes over servitude rights of access.
I have a broad civil practice as an advocate; reflecting and building on my experience as a solicitor. I called in 2001, after having been a solicitor in private practice between 1984 and 2000. I was a lecturer and a tutor at Glasgow Graduate School of Law and University of Strathclyde respectively. I am a Judge of the First Tier Tribunal, sitting in the Immigration and Asylum Chamber. I have represented litigants in tribunals, in sheriff courts, in the Court of Session and in the Supreme Court.
