Since calling at the Bar, Shona's practice has focussed almost exclusively on civil work and in particular, she is instructed in a significant number of complex, high value professional negligence actions, notably in the fields of medical and solicitors negligence.
Shona began her career as a solicitor at Dundas & Wilson C.S. (now CMS Cameron McKenna) where she handled a caseload of predominantly commercial and professional negligence work.
She has considerable experience in Public Law gained from her time as a standing junior to the Advocate General. She has in addition appeared in a number of fatal accident enquiries and her practice has led her to appear in various Tribunals, the Sheriff Court, the Outer and Inner House of the Court of Session, and the House of Lords.
