Roy has acted in some of the most significant cases and inquiries in recent years and has appeared before the House of Lords and Supreme Court.  He regularly sits as an arbitrator and as a part-time judge in Guernsey and Jersey.

Roy Martin QC was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1976, taking Silk in 1988, and called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1990, becoming Queen’s Counsel in 2008.  He is ranked by Chambers UK as the Star Individual for Planning and Environmental Law at the Scottish Bar and is also ranked Band 1 for Commercial Dispute Resolution.

He was Dean of the Faculty of Advocates from 2004 to 2007.
