Biography

Since calling, he has developed a strong general civil practice, it focusses on clinical negligence, personal injury and fatal accident inquiries, but has taken in subjects such as consumer credit, late payment of commercial debts, defamation and malicious falsehood and judicial review.

Richard called to the Bar in 2008 following time in private practice as a solicitor.

Richard's practice includes instruction at all levels from the Sheriff Court to the Supreme Court and from a range of private firms and public bodies, and was recently appointed Standing Junior to the Advocate General for Scotland.

Richard is ranked as a Leading Individual by both Chambers and Legal 500.

On a personal level, hobbies include golf and playing the trumpet.
