Biography

Peter Grant-Hutchison is a part-time Sheriff, a fee paid Immigration Judge and Social Security Judge and Mental Health Tribunal Convenor and he is a former member of the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal. He is a member of Terra Firma Chambers.

Peter Grant-Hutchison qualified with an LLB. MA (Honours) in Economics in 1979. As a solicitor he obtained experience in Commercial Litigation, Personal Injuries and most areas of civil practice. He was latterly a Civil Court partner. He was called to the Bar in 1988. He has considerable experience in Administrative Law, Competition Law, Personal Injuries Litigation and Employment Law. Peter Grant-Hutchison has frequently appeared in Employment Tribunals, Employment Appeal Tribunals and the Inner House of the Court of Session. He also appeared in the former House of Lords.
