Biography

Kirsty called to the Bar in 2017, having gained experience of commercial and insolvency law during her devilling year.

Prior to calling to the Bar, Kirsty worked as a solicitor at CMS Cameron McKenna in the professional indemnity and insurance litigation team in both Edinburgh and London. Kirsty acquired a broad range of experience in professional liability representing a number of professionals including construction and engineering firms, accountants and surveyors. Kirsty also worked on a number of planning cases, in particular Statutory Appeals involving wind turbines. As a solicitor, Kirsty appeared in the Sheriff Court and instructed Counsel in a large number of Court of Session cases.

Kirsty has a particular interest in professional liability and works as a part time tutor in Delict at Edinburgh University.
