Biography

Hugh Campbell has been in practice since 1969.   For the last 25 years or so he has acted solely for pursuers in cases involving personal injury of every conceivable type, from industrial diseases (including a ground-breaking case for a victim of Lyme disease) to personal injury whether industrial or road traffic or otherwise, to professional negligence, whether medical or legal, and involving damages of all varieties, great and small.

Latterly, he has concentrated on the thorough preparation of cases, such that settlement is very likely, thereby avoiding the uncertainties of Court decisions.
His appearance at the Piper Alpha Inquiry, on behalf of Trades Unions and many victims, was significant in changing the whole focus of responsibility for health and safety (at least until the iniquitous Section 69!) from prescriptive to goal-setting.
