Biography

David is an experienced and enthusiastic practitioner of several areas of Statute law, underpinned by significant experience in Judicial Review, Planning and Human Rights.

He has made several contributions to Scottish Legal Literature, whilst developing a niche as a Public Speaker.
 
Building upon a Local Government career, David has developed particular expertise in Mental Health Law, covering cases such as the “Scottish Bournewood” and the operation of MDT regimes in Hospitals. As well as writing three published textbooks, David regularly contributes to the “Scots Law Times” on significant developments in the evolving law in this field. He has a genuine commitment to the Third Sector, and frequently assists the FLSU.  He is also a Board Member of several Charities.

David provides a responsive service of high quality and integrity to clients which range from individuals through to Government bodies, focused upon their needs in a rapidly – changing Legal Services market, including potential  developments in the field of Strategic Litigation.
