Biography

Catriona has a general civil practice. Particular areas of interest include property, commercial, public law and planning.

Catriona has particular experience in property law and has been instructed in a wide variety of property cases ranging from boundary disputes to contractual disputes.
 
In addition Catriona has been instructed in a wide range of cases spanning multiple disciplines including: local government; partnership and agency; company law; unjustified enrichment; planning; professional negligence; contract (including building contract) and commercial property.
 
Prior to becoming an advocate Catriona worked for several years as a solicitor both in private practice and in the public sector. In the private sector Catriona worked in commercial property which included a period of secondment to the London office of a Scottish firm. In the public sector Catriona dealt particularly with property, roads and planning matters (including appearing at public inquiries).
 
Catriona is also a civil tutor in public law at the University of Edinburgh School of Law.
