Her main areas of legal practice at the bar are public law, judicial review, human rights, commercial and EU law.

Anna Poole QC took silk in 2012. Prior to that she was First Standing Junior Counsel to the Scottish Government.  Chambers lists her as a Leader at the Bar and Legal 500 as a Leading Silk.
Anna studied law at Oxford University. Before becoming an advocate in 1998, she qualified as a solicitor both in England and Scotland, and worked at Linklaters in London and Brodies in Edinburgh. She tutored at Edinburgh University between 1997 and 2002. She writes for Court of Session Practice and has published various articles. She holds appointments as part time fee-paid judge, member of the panel of counsel for the EHRC, and ad hoc advocate depute.
