Andrew Murphy was admitted to Faculty in June 1970 after a Bar apprenticeship with Simpson and Marwick WS and devilling to JT Cameron QC (Lord Coulsfield)
He is a graduate of Edinburgh University (MALLB)
His career to date has included being a Court Martial prosecuting officer in the RAF; Crown Counsel in Hong Kong; Standing Junior Counsel to the Registrar General in Scotland
and between 1983 and 2006 he sat on the Shrieval bench. His area of practice is in criminal defence work, having appeared in trials and appeals at all levels in cases of serious assault, dishonesty, Misuse of Drugs, POCA and road traffic matters.
